I used Paint Protection of Houston for window tinting and a 3M clear bra. That's all they do, mostly for new high-end cars. I highly recommend them. The owner is Gray Wagner and he can be reached at 281-537-7768. Open Monday through Friday.
Cost: $165.00 for theTint - Lifetime Warranty
Cost: $ 680.00 for the Deluxe 3M Clear Bra - Lifetime Warranty

I had mine done at Houston Tint (http://www.houstontint.com).
I went with the Formula One Pinnacle Series ceramic tint and it was $400. I was happy with their work and also how well the ceramic tint blocks out the heat.

A local guy here in Katy did my tint, and he used MaxPro film which has a lifetime warranty (but they all do).
The Good:
*Total cost was $100.00
*He will come to your house or work and do the installation there.
*The guy was very nice and professional.
*The tint looks good on the car.
The Bad:
*I have small scattered bubbles that did not go away, so I will have to get my windows tinted again (for no charge). It isn't noticeable at all unless you really look, so I haven't had it done yet.
*The transparency looking out of the back window isn't exactly clear. I don't know if that is the quality of the film or because I haven't washed it yet.
The guy was very insistent that I knew he would replace my tint, or do whatever was needed to make sure I was 100% happy. He mostly does the installations with just him and his wife. I will probably put the money out to upgrade to a better quality tint in the future, but money was tight when I got the car and getting windows tinted was priority #1, so for $100 it was well worth it. If your interested in his contact info or want to see how it looks on my car just let me know.

I'll second this promo. They did mine in about 30 mins.(2 guys) for 135 bucks. I was talking to them and they do all or almost all of the cars for the dealerships in Conroe.

This kind of happened to me on my Infiniti, as it had window indexing also. But it happened over time, and it was more pushed down and marked up at the top of the window. From what I heard that was normal after a few years.
But if your tint is peeling off, either top or bottom, that is sure something that shouldn't happen. So far I haven't had any issues with my tint doing this. Be sure and search in Camaro5 to see if other have had this happen. Thank goodness for the window tint warranty that is given at most places, but it is still inconvenient I am sure. Sorry about that....

I don't have any problems. I would take it back and get it corrected.

I have had no problems with mine, but I was wondering how long did you wait before rolling down your windows? I was told not to roll down the windows for 3-5 days (depending on if sun was out to help dry) because of this exact thing. Also, just curious, who did your windows if you don't mind me asking?

Chris, thanks again for the recommendation...Gray and his crew were great!
Here's a pic of the tint...and for $15 more they put a visor tint...comes in handy since our sun visors are miniscule!

Glad they did a good job for you. I plan on having them install a tint on my daughters car next week. You can't beat the lifetime warranty as well !!!
See you soon.

Paul,
It has been soooo long ago, I forgot most of the details.............except that I love the job that was done at a fair price.
It wasn't metallic or ceramic - just the standard stuff. I went with the legal limits on the side and rear, whatever that is. I also had the eyebrow strip at the front which is reminiscent of the muscle cars of the 60-70's. Hope that helps !!!
