Well I had HPE supply and install the full front Heritage Grill this afternoon. I like the Heritage SS emblem like Mlee's and that will be the final improvement. I can take the grill off anytime I feel like wearing the OEM look if I want to change up in the future. All clamped to the existing grill only. No drilled holes anywhere. I really like the full effect which is reminiscent of my 1st gen SS/RS.

Guys.................thanks for the comments....................I am still leaning towards the white heritage SS emblem. I think it will look good, as Eric said, with my white stripes. If it doesn't, it can come right off.

Hi Chris, that looks very sharp, I would also call it a very "stealth" look. Can't wait to see it in person!!!

Thanks Guys and Gal,

Appreciate the comments !!! I also think it looks "Stealth". I have decided to go with the white SS grill emblem (1969 version). I picked up one after looking at it in person at Camaro Concepts here in Houston. They are located at 2236 Blalock............off IH-10 west going north on Blalock about 2-3 miles. I also picked up a few other emblems that I will be installing real soon and will be posting before and after shots. They deal in authentic GM approved reproductions for heritage Camaro's. Their phone number is 713-365-9000 and their website is www.camaroconcepts.com They also perform complete restoration work on older Camaro's as well as repair work. I didn't have time to look over the shop, but they seemed busy.

Thanks again !!

What's the story behind the tire marks? I saw them Saturday night but I didn't get a chance to ask you about them.

A few weeks ago I was cruising with all the traffic on the Sam Houston Tollway when I see something ahead of me bouncing off a car. Then the large strip of tire tread came down on my front end before I could take any evasive action.

So I spent a little time with buffing and polishing compund working the majority of the black off the front end. I need to put some more elbow grease into the fix, whenever I get some time later. But at the Woodland C & C, I met Mike form Hawaiian Island Shine who offered to assist in removing the blemish.

So now you are up to date.

Ouch! I had that happen to my '82 Monte Carlo many years ago except it hit the roof just above the windsheild.

If you figure out how to get it all off let me know. I have to get those kind of tire marks off the rear bumper of Vallie's Charger. A guy backed out into the street and lucky enough just his tire rubbed the bumper. No I need to buff it out.

Fella on Camaro 5 reported getting pulled over with a warning because it covered the headlights.

Looking at it... I can't see what that was a bout. The headlights are in no way hindered.

I'm just hoping someone who will remain nameless has his classic SS held on with something more than chewing gum for C Fest :)
